This week, we commemorate one year, and 76 years, of occupation and genocide in Gaza. YO TE VEO SMA joins with Center for Global Justice San Miguel, San Miguel por Palestina, and BDS Mexico, for events that have the potential to open eyes, open minds, open hearts, in the interest of truth, justice, humanity, and liberation. Two of these events are sponsored by and will take place at La Huipilista Artspace. If you stitched a square with an eye, in solidarity with almost 200 others, it's likely that your efforts will be providing assistance to Palestinians suffering either in their occupied territory or in the diaspora.

We've been stitching and quilting your squares to create stunning and bold works of art, and they're now ready to be sold. The first quilts, wall hangings, thangkas, and textile collages will be on display this Thursday, October 10, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated. I've been so busy with this, that I haven't found time or helpers to create an online sale for you, but that is the next step.
